Why are dolphins considered very intelligent?
Dolphins are quick learners. They can be taught to understand human words and respond to them. And sometimes, they can imitate human speech without being taught! Dolphins invent and play games. They can toss a tube to a person, wait for it to be tossed back, and then catch it. This type of play is considered a sign of intelligence.
They can also solve problems. For example, if a piece of food is stuck under a rock, a dolphin will find a way to blow it out. So is it any wonder that dolphins are considered intelligent?
