Where does the Name Tanakh comes from?
Many people believe the word Tanakh means First Covenant. This is not true, the word for Covenant in Hebrew is “Brit” as also used for the Brit Chadasha (New Testament) and the Abrahamic covenant is actually called Brit bein HaBetarim.
The word Tanakh is actually an acronym of the first Hebrew letter of each of the the three sectors
    (T)orah, (N)evi’im and (K)ethuvim – TaNaKh - T-N-K in English ( ת-נ-ך Tav-Nun-Kaf in Hebrew).

Very interesting to note as well is the word British, the word for man in Hebrew is “Ish” and woman is “Isha”. Brit means Covenant. British mean “Man of the Covenant” and yet the British people think they have no ties with Yisra’el. Mmmmm Think again!
