Hello world, I'm Kol Tregaskes and this is my first Steemit post :-)

Hello world,

My name is Kol Tregaskes. I currently work for a telecoms company in the South of England. I've been on Steemit for a few months but never posted so here's my first post.

Previous to telecoms I worked in the (video) games industry for many years; mostly in Quality Assurance. My first ever job was a Games Tester and yes it's a cool as it sounds! I worked for a publisher then an independent developer. The publisher was Warner Interactive, who were bought by GT Interactive who themselves were eventually bought by Infogrames - who are now called Atari. The developer was called The Bitmap Brothers and it was a schoolboy dream to work for them so I was very, very happy when I got the job.

Sadly, a bit like the cryptocurrency world, the games industry can be quite volatile and thus The Bitmaps closed down 3 years after I joined. Since then I've worked for a few telecoms companies where I now do data-related roles, such as project coordinators and data coordinators. It's very nerdy and right up my street.

I've lived in the South of England all my life, starting in Croydon then Berkshire and now in Kent. I currently live with my brother and my Golden Retriever dog, Kody, and we're currently refurbising our Mum's house, who passed away last May.

I have a few hobbies, games (of course), photography, technology and sport (mostly watching ;-)). I also enjoy movies, science-fiction and music. And I've recently been interesting in cryptocurrencies and have been trying my hand at this trading thing.

With that in mind, I'm mostly going to use this blog to post my photography (all old photos for the moment - not been out with the camera for a while) and cryptocurrency but it's probably going to be a bit of everything here. I've tried writing a blog a few times in the past and it's never stuck so I'm not expecting to keep up posts here either but we'll see.
