How Much Money Facebook Gets From Selling Your Data?
I found an interesting article on popularmechanics.com that discusses how much money Facebook gets for selling our data.
One of the highlights from the article was, "As for the “worth” of your data, to derive a (very) crude estimate, one could take Facebook’s 2018 first-quarter revenue ($11.97 billion), divide by the number of active users (1.45 billion), and come up with about $8.25 per quarter, or $33 a year"
However that doesn't show the full story. Your lot in life can affect your worth to Facebook. It goes on, "If you’re educated or wealthy, people will pay more for you."
As if I needed another reason not to go on Facebook any longer! :P Full Steem ahead!
