My Biggest Fears For Steem and Steemit - Openly Sharing Reward Amounts - What are we cultivating here....

people want to know how popular a post or person is.
That's why every social media tracks likes, views, thumbs up, ect.
The correlation between the popularity of a post and how much money someone makes its common knowledge among users. So changing the dollar amount to a different number like "likes" won't do anything but require you to use a calculator to figure it out.
If it's obvious how much everyone is making who cares? Doesn't that just encourage more heavy and smart usage?

potentially you are right! But if people drop off like flys as a result, the platform suffers. If the platform is being sold as a way to make money by blogging and you don't make money. People drop off.

Maybe because the comparison can be too easily gauged by a $ amount. I post either way because I enjoy it. But generally speaking if people don't experience what they are being sold...that becomes problematic! In my opinion @krissrage
