I never got to post a 100-followers-steemit post.

I wanted to apologize to my first 100 followers for not being able to thank you guys. I really was thinking of posting about it but things got out of hand. I got preoccupied of different things, my followers increased, I posted other contents and I actually forgot about it. I was on and off in steemit for the past few weeks for various reasons. So right now, I'd like to kiss y'all!!

And you send y'all an ENORMOUS VIRTUAL HUG!!

Now, I got 200 followers!

I joined steemit last February and though, it took me 4 months to get 200 followers, I still feel awesome! I am really grateful to all of you. I'm happy and excited!

Having people to follow you really boosts your confidence. I felt like people actually liked what I was writing about. There was a time when I got a particular number of followers and suddenly it decreased, I was like, "Oh no!" I was unfollowed by 2 steemians. My head was in chaos and my thoughts were everywhere.
"What did I do wrong?"
"Why did they unfollow me?"
"Did I say something awful?"
"What is wrong with me?
I asked those kind of questions. It really puts you down, y'know.

Later on, I just thought, "You can win a lot more followers." People can and would unfollow you because they didn't like you or they have followed too much people and can't really read everybody's blog or they just don't like your content. It's not your fault. So, I told myself not be sad about it and just keep on doing what I love to do and that is writing. And in my stay here in the steemit platform, I did a lot of things already. I blogged about my travels. I talked about my climbs. I composed a lot of poems. I wrote short stories and joined contests. I even honed my drawing skills and now I can say I'm an artist. At the least, a newbie artist. Lastly and most importantly, I've invited friends in the community.

(Oh! And yes, I earned.)

For all the newbie in the platform, just be patient. It'll come to you! Steem on!
