Since the beginning of the youtube ad-pocalypse, I have been considering reaching out to a few creators on the platform that I personally watch and want to be able to support.
I just opened up youtube to see that the PhillyD channel (the vlog for the Philip Defranco show crew) had just posted a video and thought this is probably the best chance I'll ever have to be seen, so why not mention steemit and see if we can't get the Phillip defranco Show to post their videos on steemit so we can support them - and their unbiased presentation of the news.
Here is a screenshot and link to the comment I have made on the PhillyD video, so if you have an account and would like to leave a comment or vote up mine so that someone on the team might see it - and just maybe there's a chance we could get a youtuber with over 5,000,000 subscribers onto steemit.
I like the channel and the content and would really like to be able to support an independent news media company, that has already proven themselves to be more reliable than the mainstream media.
It would be awesome to see the community come together to support bringing in great content creators like this, so please click the link and lend a hand to spreading some awareness of steemit and what it can do.

Steemit is an amazing platform, with time and effort anything is achievable here - you just have to be work hard and be considerate to the other users.

One thought I had, what youtubers like Phillip and Harley could do and what you could use as an argument to get them on here is: I know bigger youtubers all have social media managers who just post stuff on twitter, face and insta. If you could get Phil to understand that he could be making extra income with his social media manager, I think it would be a good point to make steemit attractive for them

Absolutely that is why I think it should be getting massive adoption right now, youtubers are suffering and their fans want to be able to support them - some to steemit they can at no cost to themselves but a vote.

I tried recommending Steemit to David Rubin, it would be good to get him on as well as he's getting demonetised for some of his videos, surprise surprise by the way, it was one about Islam.
If I catch a livestream of him I'll see if I can get his attention about it.

I think while they are actively on there is the best chance to have them see it, that's why I did this in a rush they had only post 7 minutes before I left my comment.
Demonetization is a massive issue with youtube right now and there's no reason these creators wouldn't thrive here and make a decent income for just resharing content they are already making.

It really would, I have wanted to support the nation (defranco) for ages but I've never had the liquid funds I could justify to donate - here I can just vote to support, it's amazing.

The beauty of steemit is that he doesn't have to stop posting on youtube, he can still use that as his main platform and use steemit as a way to supplement the companies income - plus with the launch of the new company surely they need to take up all possible revenue options.

I have tried to mention it to him in his comment section, he has to be aware of Steemit he is so well versed on everything internet. He has the team to put it together and he is most certainly the kind of content that would represent this platform very well. I will leave hints every now and then.
