Greetings Steemers!
As many of you know Steemit is an amazing place. It has already been a very positive thing in my life, now let me tell you how. For those of you who don't already follow me or are unfamiliar with my posts, I'm a CBD entrepreneur in the Colorado hemp market. One month ago today, I was working 3 part time jobs. The first as a guerrilla marketer and the other two as a delivery guy for food companies. The money was pretty decent and covered all my costs. I've been running this startup so for a while now I've been accustomed to buying any random whatever business stuff with any extra money that goes beyond my bills. This has been a decent arrangement thus far.
Now I have been looking for a decent transition where I could have my business pay me enough to cover my bills and I just manage the funds more wisely. Sales have been and are coming in, just not enough to draw a salary as of yet. Then my car decides it's done being a mule. I have a crack in my intake manifold that is leaking antifreeze into cylinder 6 which causes the engine to misfire. As a result it has very weak horsepower. The combination of these things has put me out of work. It couldn't have struck at a worse time as I had paid up all my bills and after fixing a few things that didn't help the problem I was flat broke. No job, no prospects.
The car that no longer runs properly.
Now I could go get some job I will absolutely despise like a food manager job, or I could even go back into construction. But I have absolutely no desire to do any of these things. I just want to run my business. Well thanks to Steemit that dream has come true. The advent of a blockchain content platform that pays for content is a lifesaver. I have time to do all the things now. I'm still learning this platform but I have solid understanding of how things work around here. I'm consistently trending posts and making real money. I don't have to be concerned with how I will pay my rent and I'm free to create my own schedule and manage my business while getting paid to write about topics I'm passionate about. I'm literally getting paid to spread the word of liberty while remaining uncensored.
Now while I wouldn't advise that anyone just go up and quit their job because I have had success, I would tell you that anyone who is interested in generating consistent content over time can. You can do this and live off of it if you put the time and effort into it. Build a following of people who are like minded. Learn how posts trend over the 24hr cycle. Learn how to more accurately convey the messages you want to convey to the groups of people you want to convey them to. Learn how to get your posts in front of people who will like them without incorrectly tagging your posts. (You will rustle jimmies and lose money) When you are consistently pulling in a living wage, treat this seriously like you would your job. Every morning when I wake up I look at what's going on in the world or in my life I sit down and write a well thought out article. This is key. Do not just spam posts to get stuff out there. Don't burn through all your media as fast as you can get it up. Take your time and actually contribute worthwhile content to the community. Many of us are social media savvy, if you can create a following on fb, or twitter, or whatever, you can do it here. Welcome to the future of individual journalism and content production.

Thanks @kushfreeman, this is on point: "I'm literally getting paid to spread the word of liberty while remaining uncensored."
We're loving the profound exchanges that are taking place, and the discussion Steemit is raising on value(s). We've been living the revolution for years, so it's exciting to find a platform that unites us in purpose! Keep it up!!

Well certainly writing on Steemit, and perhaps even promoting liberty here is a really productive job, that also pays well, and it's very useful to society.
It also liberates you the author, because freelancing is much better than being an employee.
