So what is this Secret, about which so much is said, and what do you think you can actually call the "secret of the twentieth century"? No, probably not a UFO, extrasensory perception or parapsychology - all this has been known for thousands of years. The main contender for this role is an explosion that rocked near Podkamennaya Tunguska at the very beginning of this century and remains a mystery to scientists.
The tragedy occurred on the morning of June 30 (17), 1908, at the point with coordinates 60 ° 55 ' N, 101 ° 57' E. in the Podkamennaya Tunguska river basin, 64 km to the north of the Vanavara village (Krasnoyarsk Territory). According to the inhabitants of the surrounding villages and villages, a strange body appeared in the sky, which seemed elongated and resembled a "pipe, log, spear, sheaf of straw, broom, spindle". The speed of the movement, the accompanying sounds and effects, the eyewitnesses described in different ways. The passage of the fiery body ended with a powerful explosion, which, like a thunderclap, was heard at a great distance. At dawn at 7.17 local time or 00h 17 '11' 'in the universal time, an explosion (according to some data - a series of explosions) at an altitude of about 6 km with a capacity of 12.5 to 40 megatons shook the taiga, knocking down trees on an area of 1885 sq. Km. km. The blast wave was felt by people at a distance of thousands of kilometers from the epicenter, and the devices recorded that the waves at least twice circled the entire globe. The monstrous power then literally shocked the Eurasian continent, if all this happened 4 hours later, the rotation of the Earth would bring the beautiful city of St. Petersburg under the all-destructive blow. What would have awaited him then, after the explosion, the power of which is equivalent to more than two thousand Hiroshima!? In the taiga, everything turned out to be the death of thousands of deer, one heart attack with a fatal outcome and several injuries among local residents.
For a long time it was believed that such a small fee for a monstrous explosion was due to the low population density in the area. This is in part true, but along the path stretching from the Arctic Ocean, deer caravans previously passed through the epicenter, although not one caravaner, as is known, was injured. Why? No one will truly answer this question now. From the Evenks themselves, as well as from Yury SBITNEVA, it is known that it seems that before this terrible day local elders warned local residents to avoid visiting "the area where the god of Agda" should descend, and in this connection the area to the north of Shakhromy (the two-headed mountain Sugarloaf) were declared forbidden and the trails, which were strategically important for nomadic reindeer herders, were recommended to be moved aside. Specially delegated shamans went to the Evenks, who live in seclusion near the future epicenter of the "Descent of Agda", and persuaded them to leave their habitable places. Apparently, not everyone was persuaded. A young Evenk hermit on Lake Cheko, for example, did not believe, because he was "lucky" to observe at first the mass withdrawal from this area of all game, fish and only then the explosion - almost at point-blank range. Miraculously survived in all this apocalypse.
Not very disciplined Evenks, and after the explosion continued to walk into the "land of Agda," while in every possible way disavowing even from one thought alone to violate a strict prohibition (in Vronsky's book "The Kulik Path" there is a moment when researchers persuade one of the hunters for a long time with an ostentatious sense of disgust finally agrees, escorts the expedition to the epicenter, where the carcass of moose, not so long ago killed by him, digs out the permafrost from the permafrost. It was thanks to such violators of the shamanic order and the tribal discipline that modern science learned how the explosion looked and how the epicenter changed immediately after the explosion, the water level in the marshes rose, the earth was smoking, the stones "shone" and other miracles were happening. About the same phenomenon observed residents of Hiroshima, but after 37 years 1 month and 1 week.
