It's been really great to see a thriving developer community building apps - both web and OS - around the Steemit platform. That's the power of an open platform with freely available data. Special shoutouts to @xeroc, @jesta and @void for their stellar work - I hope other developers are inspired too.
Here's what I'd really love. Something I can install on my PC and will notify me when anyone I follow posts something, or when someone replies to me, etc. (Of course, what exactly will be configurable) Maybe something that sits in the taskbar, popping up notifications. Or integrates into the Notification centre.
I'm on Windows 10, but I'm sure there will be plenty of demand for this on macOS and Linux. Heck, Android and iOS for that matter. This will tide us over till a full GUI comes out - I'm guessing Piston is first.
Any Steemian developers up for the challenge? Be rest assured of an upvote and a donation from me, and I'm sure many others here. :)
