I've started buying STEEM to use as STEEM POWER.
Only have 16% vote power, and it's already jumped from $0.01 to $0.10 after I bought the 500 STEEM POWER so I could have the upvote slider; and now it's $0.21 even though it's down to 16%!
I'm still exploring this platform but I think I'm really liking what I'm seeing. Also I notice that after I got the upvote slider, I no longer have the "Upvote post" checkbox checked by default.

Sure, I just went to the Wallet page, and then clicked the down arrow to the right of STEEM POWER (the second one from the top), which opened a new tab at https://blocktrades.us. Then I specified the BTC amount, clicked "Get Deposit Address" and sent the BTC.
The second time I did it, I specified ETH, and sent that, and it worked as well.
I like your chicken ASCII (well, I suppose it's Unicode now :) ).
Note that others (here on this post) have mentioned Bittrex as having lower fees; I haven't looked into that yet although I should...

Thanks for your reply. I read the steemit FAQs again and realized clicking on the arrows in my wallet took me where I needed to go. Just as you stated.😉 I did an internal buy using about half my 10.00 steem dollars. 🐓

Nice power move. I've seen you dipped even heavier than the original 500. Might want to use Bittrex next time instead of blocktrades. Better rates

That happens at 500 STEEM POWER. Either post enough to earn it, or buy into it. I'm not sure what else happens at higher levels -- I've just started a few weeks ago.
