I have been seeing something that I have not been seeing before on my pay outs and that is my vest pay outs. Can someone explain this to me please. I have read a few articles on vest I found on steem it but they seem to really explain how they are going to explain about vest payouts but never actually get around to explaining it. Any help would be appreciated on what this is for and also why I am just now seeing it. Did I hit some milestone that I did not realize of did the system just start doing this for everyone in last couple days? How much vest do I need and what does it equal to?

Vests are SP or also known as STEEM Power. Think of Vests as your "vested interest" in the platform. STEEM power increases your vote amount and powering down takes 13 weeks to complete.
You must keep a certain amount of vests in your account to keep it active, so powering all of the SP effectively renders your account useless/unusable.

thats because they are under 500 sp so any vote they give is a automatic 100% vote which theirs is worth 1 cent, so not much they can do about it other then not vote at all. and even tho its a 1 cent vote and the user wouldnt get paid over it, its still not wasted it counts towards their account achievement ie number of upvotes etc which counts towards raising thier respect number.

Yeah it clarified payouts in SP I think, but it's definitely recent.
