How does Steemit handle DMCA requests? are content parsed from the blockchain filtered before it reaches Steemit?

Also are we allowed to post direct download links for movies tvshows etc?

    I think posts and comments are not on blockchain, only currencies. To write pictures on blockchain is very expensive
