India Steemit Accelerator, Bangalore was a HUGE SUCCESS!

It's been a month since I started posting on steemit and what a month it has been. From getting to learn about cryptocurrency to meeting awesome people, the time I put into it has really been worth it.

On Sunday, 30th July 2017 I got to be a part of the India Steemit Accelerator conducted by Meghan Naik, most of you might know him by his Steem handle @firepower. The tight securitised Bosch India Headquarters in Bangalore was chosen as the venue for the conference.

Arriving at the venue I was greeted by a guard whose accent I found very familiar. Upon asking he cheerfully replied that he was indeed from my home state. The entry gate led me to an almost empty parking lot with just one bike in it. I unhurriedly parked my bike next to the one already parked, instinctively following the herd behavior that we humans are so used to.

Apparently, the Bosch India campus is so big that a public road passes through it and I had to use a skywalk to get to the other part of it. A 2-minute walk led me to the conference hall where Meghan and some participants had already arrived. Reticently I walked to the the chairs and sat on one of them keeping my helmet and bag on the floor and waited for my biker buddy Wanderer on wheels to arrive.

Everyone came and settled down soon before Meghan hopped onto the podium and introduced himself. He then asked everyone present to introduce themselves as well which is when I started having second thoughts about coming to the event.

Because I am shy around people I don't know well enough!

Having everyone introduced themselves, Meghan started to talk about Steemit and the basic know-how of the platform. The event answered most of the questions that I had in mind and improved my perception towards it. Meghan spoke with a light hearted undertone and him geeking out over blockchain was a sight to behold. He also seems to have loved last years Steemfest a lot and is really keen to organise one in India and it would be really awesome for me to be a part of it!

More than 2 hours had just flown by without anyone realizing, such was the curiosity everyone had in the talk. Meghan took us down to the canteen to have lunch where plenty of sandwiches and cakes were waiting for us. Either it was the taste of the sandwich or my hunger but I took two of them and finished in matters of some minutes while talking to wanderer on wheels about his upcoming Leh ladakh ride. I also met @bikergirl while heading back from lunch. She seems like a real nice person.

We headed over to the conference hall again for a question answers session. With what seemed like an unending series of questionnaires had to be ended since we had already exceeded the permitted time for the venue. It was time to bid adieu to Meghan and the group of inquisitive steemit users who had come down for the event. I had a brief chat with Andrea Noronha @yabadabawho, as well. She's cool, read her posts, you'll know why.

Wow.. Wish I was there. Hopefully next time I can join.

Sure. This program is planned to be organised in every major city in India. You can join it accordingly. Thanks for resting this post :)

Read your post, impressive writing style.

i appreciate the work of @firepower that he is doing. I am also building Indian community on steemit by one on one personal interaction. It's an amazing platform and I think we Indians have to take benefit from it.

I am calling all Indians to mark their attendance on this post https://steemit.com/india/@vikasjaat/how-many-indians-are-on-steemit-platform so that everyone will know about the strength of Indians as well as will know each other by mutual interaction.

It doesn't work this way dude. Why would everyone including whales and dolphins mark their attendance on a minnow's post? There's steemit chat for mutual interaction between Indians. Adding 'India' tag is another way to make Indian content visible to Indian as well as other users. I hope this clarifies some confusion that you might have about the working of this platform.

Bro steemit.chat is too messy, hardly work on that.

That's why I am building such community. I don't want up votes for earning have some other plans for that.

Btw thanks for replying ....
