I’m completely brand new to Steemit. I joined a few days ago, and have started posting a little bit in order to learn about how the platform works.
I’m kind of confused about how the voting works. Do some people’s votes have more power than others? What is self-voting? Is there anywhere that explains this in more detail that I can read?

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam
