I discovered Steemit a couple of days ago, when the rise of its token price occurred. I read the whitepaper, tried to get informed as much as possible, and instantly fell in love with the concept.
I mean, I feel this DApp could really be the game changer in the blockchain ecosystem, as it has everything it needs to take off and go worldwide:
- It's a win-win game: you post good quality content, you get rewarded.
- It's community-driven: every "steemer" has interest in making as many people as he can know the platform, as this could potentially increase his revenue
I feel that once major bloggers and influencers will discover Steemit, they'll jump on in no time and, through cross-platform advertising, they'll try to drive their followers right here.
Once this happens, a massive number of users will approach Steemit and, why not, the cryptocurrencies world.
I don't want to overhype, but I really think this is what could spread the knowledge of crypto to the average internet user of the new generations.
How to make sure the platform will be successful?
First of all, developers and community will have to work hard to protect it from scammers, who'll be attracted by the rewards system, easy money and blah blah.
Then, of course, the platform will have to be ready to welcome a huge load of new users.
Finally, I think it should be integrated with other DApps, for example like BAT, to introduce non-invasive advertisement which will lead to more revenue to content creators and cross-platform support (BAT developers will support and why not help Steemit ones and vice versa).
My Conclusions
Steemit has a huge potential, and its future can be the brightest.
The start could not be better, as I see lots of users and lots of great content which makes the time spent here very pleasant.
If this Reddit 3.0 keeps on growing and evolving, introducing new features to keep people want to write here, it'll be a huge success.
Those are my .02 STEEM as a firm supporter.
What do you think will happen? What would you do to improve the platform?
I'd love to hear some opinions!
Steemit will be the next social media big player . People will start moving from facebook and other social media in here . The reward system is amazing and the community also . The cryptos will start rising as more people will get involved .We hit 100 billion cap today and this is just the beginning.

I joined today, and the community seems great indeed! I hope the platform doesn't become an "user-generated buzzfeed" because of users' greed as someone on Reddit described it, and I hope quality content will always be king.
