So I have somebody who is on their 7th day of waiting for their Steemit Profile to be approved, after confirming their email. Is it still to early to have them sign up for another account or should they continue waiting?
I remember it took me 2 days I believe, does it take longer now? A week seems like a long time, but who knows:)

I joined beginning of the year and got in pretty much immediately. If they're doing it manually that sounds liked there would be some major backlog 🤤 otherwise they need to something or other the account creation system which maybe can't cope with the pressure or something.

Yeah I remember when I started it didn't take too long at all. Who knows. Hopefully they get it figured out for all the new users coming to the platform. It's a good problem to have, if it is that there is too many new accounts, but if they don't get it taken care of, it could be a bad problem.

It is a bad problem! Obviously I know nada about the signups that are still pending, but I know that if I'd had to wait that long nd didn't already have at least one friend already on board to remember by I would have quite forgotten about it with the attention span I have XD

It took my account 10 days to get approved!! On the ninth day, I told my friend to sign up to see what would happen. The next day, both our accounts were approved: mine was approved first, and his was approved 4 hours later. I think it has something to do with the creators promoting STEEMIT so much lately they haven't had time to do approvals everyday.

It could be there is just too many new people signing up. I think thats a good thing. The more users we have on this platform the higher Steem goes. Im so mad at myself for not joining earlier!!!!!!!

That's probably it, Yeah I joined in January when It was 15 cents, but I got way deep into trading crypto that I neglected my steemit account until recently. I am pissed I didn't stick with it. But we live and we learn haha

also I've been hearing from comments for new accounts that they can't power down within 3 months...so it won't be a grab and run. This way steemit community can thrive and know they are there to invest their time and crypto into the community.
