ah, that's a pricey transfer. I would consider ETH (go with ETH) or LTC next time? Often faster, and lower transfer fees. CoinBase prices are usually higher than the market (not always) and fees are higher on credit card... But with SegWit live, BTC should be faster / cheaper

I would use Eth, Dash or Bitcoin Cash if looking for cheap tx fees. segwit isn't doing diddly squat for fees.

Thank you so much i didn't think about buying ETH instead. I will give it a try and see what happens :)

Wow what a big difference. i just bought ETH for 6 euro and converted it to steem using blocktrades again. Here is the email i got this time:
Congratulations! You have successfully sent 0.01472567 ETH (worth $5.69 USD) using Coinbase. To facilitate this transaction, you paid 0.00056878 ETH (worth $0.22 USD) in network fees.

OMG i see now where my money went. I just got this email from coinbase.

Congratulations! You have successfully sent 0.00011355 BTC (worth $0.52 USD) using Coinbase. To facilitate this transaction, you paid 0.00115945 BTC (worth $5.36 USD) in network fees.

If your Buys are Disabled by the Assholios at Coinbase then you cannot Log into GDAX or make any purchases.

CEX.io actually cares about their customers and responds if they have an issue. https://cex.io/r/0/up107988344/0/

You can tell GDAX customer service has the same email system that Coinbase uses even though they are little better in responding to issues GDAX Is Coinbase in terms of the functionality and service a person receives.

you always pay a transaction fee.. Coinbase is not that expensive..
But I wonder.. how does coinbase fit in this thread seeing that coinbase only handles ETH, BTC and LTC ? (and your own real money currency offcource)

I bought bitcoin first at coinbase and even had to pay 0.99 fee so i paid 6.99 Euro. Then i used blocktrades to convert it to steem.

Yeah I found out there's lots of fees, still learning this stuff that's why I love the people here. Using a Jaxx wallet , and coinbase, so far I hear they have the cheapest fees, but I'm always looking for improvement

I use bitcoinwallet.com is not like,u can try it

A crazy fee to pay, as bad as using a credit card. As suggested by others, high fees can be avoided by using Litecoin and speed of payment is lightning.
