Hi all,
Today I tried to withdraw some Steem. First I converted it to BTC through Bittrex.com. they charged a 0.25% rate which is fair.
Once I had my Steem in Bitcoins I tried to send them to Coinbase to cash out, where I discovered that Bittrex is charging nearly 4 euro (0.001 BTC) to withdraw?
That's nearly a 1/3 of what I wanted to withdraw?
Am I doing something wrong? Is there a cheaper way to get money from your Steem?
Any input is Welcome!
Thanks for posting this @madman198 it always plays on my mind if it's possible to make withdrawal's easily. You have proved that a little more research is needed to make it worthwhile to do so. I hope to make a withdrawal myself this month just to test it out. It would be nice to withdraw enough to buy a few pints at next steemit meet up in Dublin......

We should just find a pub that accepts Steem for pints!
On the serious note though, I have a post that earned a good bit of Steem and the money from that will be available in 3 days. Once it's available I'll test out the LTC method and let you know how it goes!
Thanks for the comment/interest @daithilifereport !

With fees like that it makes sense why most shops won't accept bitcoin as payment...

I am hoping some of these sites start using LTC for transfers.

Coinbase accepts LTC now, would it be cheaper to convert Steem to LTC in bittrex then send to coinbase and withdraw from there?
