I bought the majority of mine through exchanges to start out. Living in the US, this meant buying Btc first at coinbase and then exchanging it for the steem. I particularly like this method so I can put in a lower offer and wait for the market to shift that way.. the last month has been a great opportunitiy to do so

    Thanks. I was doing the same with localcoins to buy BTC. Unfortunately coinbase is not an option for me in New Zealand.
