OCA President Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah congratulated the host before declaring the Asian Games closed

The 18th Asian Games was closed in a festive ceremony amid Indonesia's determination to hold the 2032 Olympics and with the "Successful Historic" praise of the Asian Olympic Council, OCA.

Heavy rains did not dampen the enthusiasm of many residents who came to meet the Bung Karno Stadium to watch the closing ceremony.

OCA President Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah congratulated the host before declaring the Asian Games closed.

"You managed to organize it. You made an Asian dream, Asian energy became a reality," said Sheikh Ahmad Al Fahad Al Sabah, President of the Asian Olympic Council to the masses who met the Bung Karno Stadium.

"The 18th Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang, Asian energy, are historic successes".

"Thank you Jakarta, thank you Palembang ... Heaven cries because we are very sad today because we have to leave your beautiful country," Sheikh Ahmad said.
