Over the past few decades, our world has gone through a number of radical changes, some of which have left us with our mouths agape, and others which have been integrated gradually into our lives to the point that we cannot fathom to live without them in this day and age. Who would have thought that sooner or later, you could make all of your transactions and financial dealings completely online without ever having to touch physical currency- and I am not just talking about online banking, I am talking about digital currency.

As the notion of digital currency gains traction and more and more people and businesses become open to the idea of the likes of Bitcoin and Ethereum, people have begun looking for sources to earn this cryptocurrency from. Steemit.com has become one of them.

EARNING WITH STEEMIT

Steemit itself is built on the basis of a blockchain of digital currency called STEEM or Steem dollars, the collection of which when used for internal processes is known as the Steam Power. Steemit is trying to introduce and allow people to own and utilize digital currency without having to make purchases or investments; it instead asks them to contribute by posting and commenting online on the Steemit.com platform.

EXCHANGE SERVICES

What would be incredibly convenient and facilitative for the users is if there were a built-in digital currency exchange system within the Steemit blockchain. Not only would this exempt the amount that the users have to pay as transaction fee to supplementary services, but it will also have them save up on a lot of time and hassle. Users should easily be able to convert their earned tokens through the Steemit website only.

The STEEM tokens can only be used internally in the Steemit environment but are not widely recognized as a mainstream digital currency. As of current, there are a very limited number organizations and firms that recognize and deal with STEEM tokens or Steem dollars. For example, Steemit.com has, itself, endorsed and encouraged the use of the software called ShapeShift.io that allows the STEEM tokens to be exchanged into usable digital currency such as BTC or Eth.

By installing a local exchange shop either by creating their own or forming a partnership with another company to host a currency exchange mechanic on the Steemit website, it can create some much needed convenience for the users as everyone has to get their tokens exchanged for common cryptocurrency or flat money sooner than later.
