Hi Everyone,

I am introducing you to Steem Voter. It is a voting bot that anyone can use.

No longer do only whales and programmers use voting bots, you can too.

Simply signup at https://steemvoter.com/ and you will receive a 2nd factor authentication code in your email, add that to your signup form and click signup again. If you wait too long for the 2nd factor, simply do a forgot password and it will also confirm your account.

One you are in, add your account. We only need your posting key (this way your Steem is safe).

To add your posting key:

  1. Click on your wallet.
  2. Click on permissions.
  3. Click show key on your posting key. Do not use a key that requires your password. We do not want that.
  4. Copy your private and your account name carefully and add your account. It might take a few minute to a day for your account to be registered. We are controlling the inflow.
  5. Come back and check if your account has been added. If so, start adding rules.

We are still new, and looking to improve your ability to control your votes. Please let us know what you think and what you think we should improve.

The cost is one vote per day. We get to use one of your votes each day.

this is in the TOS. NS how i feel about the notion, but the fact that it wasn't mentioned in the post (or explicitly upon signup) gives me pause.

We haven't actually settled on this yet. We are still working out the details and haven't implemented this. Right now it is free (not actually taking a vote per day yet...) We will notify when things settle. We are not trying to deceive, just still figuring things out.

Fair enough. Personally, i would take it out completely, and if you decide to implement it in the future, require all existing users to resign up or somehow actively opt in. Because when you say "free" then someone reads that, it looks like you're kind of burying the lead.

Also, just on a personal note, i think you would be far far better off just charging a flat subscription fee. Even if its relatively small (like 5 steem a month), its still more than you would be making by charging a vote a day, and IMO its way less offputting.

Fair enough. I posted another post where I talk about the options and let people discuss them in the comments. You should go add your opinion. https://steemit.com/steemit/@marcgodard/steem-voter-bot-s-current-and-future

Just signed up! I've been working on my own bot, but I like the idea of not having to host it. I'm also interested to see what kind of analytics you are able to gather from this.

I am willing to accept help. I want to improve this and collect those analytics and share it with the community.

Don’t voting bots kinda ruin the “social” part of Steemit? I see trash content getting more upvotes than views due to bots. I’ve not yet started using a bot on Steemit, but I guess if that’s how things are gonna stay, I might look into it...

3.Click show key on your posting key. Where is the show key?

I don't just understand.Any tutorial video............

with upcomming change of "40->5" defaults votes per day, cost of 1 per day is IMO to much. With only 5 votes per day with full voting power, cost should be like 7 per week.

BTW. form hanged during my attempt of registration.

I didn't see what's the difference between 1 vote per day and 7 per week. huh?

LOL. You are right :D :) I meant 1 per week, but if "40->5" was not introduced, one a day is ok ;)

They removed the change from 40-5.

Thanks for the input. I might make it one vote a week if I get enough signups.

As far as the form hanging, did you get an email? I will check the system right now.

Did you get in? I don't see anything users that haven't made it through the signup. What are the details?

How do you create your own upvoting bot like @booster or @randowhale? Looks very profitable

Just started to use the bot but not really sure if it works how it suppose to, because I can't see a big difference in upvotes 😒

Can we remove account and delete anytime we like? Do we have to put "@"before the name of steemit accounts we follow?

Yes you can. But you will lose your position in the queue. So the early signups get the benefit of everyone that vote after them (for the one per day vote).

Do we have to put "@"before the name of steemit accounts we follow?

No, I added a note to the site not too. I fixed yours. I will fix it better later where it will automatically remove it if someone does add it.

Hey, I found out today it even voted also those followed accounts not listed . l almost ran out of upvote juice as shown in steemstats.com. I had to turn the bot off for now to recharge the upvote juice.

Looking at your account you added rules to vote on other posts. I turned those other posts off, and re turned on the list you wanted. I will make the text more clear how that works. I apologize for the confusion.

Great work! Are such bots allowed?

I don't know who would allow or not allow such a thing. Its a blockchain, and its open. It works. Who will stop it?

how to do? i am confused

I'ved make an account "testVoter#1" but nothing happen, error message. Service is still up ?

This looks intriguing. I'd love to give it a try, have signed up and now waiting for my account / posting key details to be processed. What I really want is a simple bot that votes on every post in my feed, at a certain time (say 30 minutes after a post is published). Are the rules flexible enough for something like that?

Yes, you can make it vote on accounts right away, or set up rules like (upvote on account between 10 and 30 min that have 20 or more votes). If you come up with anything else, please email [email protected] and we would love to hear your suggestions.

I've got my rules setup and am quite pleased with it so far. It seems to be working well, I'll just have to spend some time optimizing my list to make sure it doesn't vote too frequently and drain all my voting power. One question: I assume the program behind this simply runs in a loop every so often, checking and acting according to all the configured rules? How often does that loop execute? Knowing that would help with setting the timing rules.

One suggestion for improvement: instead of a comma separated list, have rows of usernames with add / delete buttons and an "enabled" check box for each one. Then have an import button that can import every user that you follow all at once. This would save some manual effort of copying & pasting usernames from my feed.

I am glad you like it. The loop is executing every 5 min currently. I might play with it or adjust it based on how long it takes to run. But a lot will change before I change this.

I agree to make the list better. Actually, all the rules will become better. I plan on adding statistics and ability to limit your voting power from going below a selected %.

I will be posting a new post hopefully today with more details and a list of future improvements.

I'm having a problem logging in, I created an account "thecryptodrive" and pressed the create account button but the animation went round and round, and nothing happened. Using Internet Explorer, then an email got sent to me with the activation code, now I have nowhere to type the code in because I closed the browser window?

I have emailed you. We had some minor issues.

still its working or not ?
