I think it would've been ok for the creators to reward themselves for their work but they should've said they were going to do that at the outset. Or as soon as they started powering down and splitting the rewards.

I agree they should get their fair share, but if your brand is a new reputation system for steemit based on a ''delegated-power community reward-pool'' profit should somehow stay in the eco-system to keep it strong, powering up their SP or invest on new project. IMHO

Everyone is free to decide what to do with their stake including you.
