How is there not a slang term for cryptocurrency users?

Everyone has a label…
I Googled the shit out of the term cryptocurrency and could not find a label… I even talked to some deep web users and could not find a term except for maybe crypto enthusiast (lame) or Crypto (too goth). Stupid!

Why isn't there label?

The obvious answer is contained in the prefix crypto. Crypto comes from the Greek kruptos 'hidden' or secret. http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/us/definition/american_english/crypto-

I need labels!

So… Cryptocurrency users are now called SEA MONKEYS!

Sea: > In bitcoin and steam whales refer to the elite that have the most > coin. There is also a highearchal Fish labeling system. Besides Whales, > there are dolphins, big fish, small fish and minnows. There are also > sharks, but evidently they are bad… >
Monkey: >2016 is year of the monkey. According to the Chinese calendar > monkeys are clever, curious, witty and smart.

2016

Sea Monkey: When I was a little brat, I ordered some $1 Sea Monkeys from the back of a comic book. I was so excited to get these little science-fiction creatures growing in my house. I was so disappointed when all I got was a little box with a Parmesan cheese like packet that contained sea monkey powder or some shit… I never saw anything. Exactly! Crypto users like to be hidden. Crypto users are underground. Sea Monkeys are not visible to the land dwellers. Sea Monkeys thrive in the deep. Sea Monkeys move with the waves; they are not anchored down to any kind of ideology, except to be smart and free.

cryp·to·bi·o·sis ----------------

/ˌkriptəˌbīˈōsis/
The powdery Aquatic see monkey toy is actually a brine shrimp. In researching for this article, I found that they are cryptobiotic.

Cryptobiosis is an ametabolic state of life entered by an organism in > response to adverse environmental conditions such as desiccation, > freezing, and oxygen deficiency. In the cryptobiotic state, all > metabolic processes stop, preventing reproduction, development, and > repair. When environmental conditions return to being hospitable, the > organism will return to its metabolic state of life as it was prior to > the cryptobiosis. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cryptobiosis

Sea Monkeys are tough. They know how to survive when the rest of the world turns to shit! Ironic: cryptobiosis & cryptocurrency

Sea Monkey = Steem Monkey

Steemit is a barrel and we are all the monkeys. We are all scrambling over each other for that elusive steem. And just like a barrel of monkeys it is crazy, fun, and unexpected.

Who are the whales? Who are the dolphins? It doesn't matter. We are all in the same ocean. We are all Sea Monkeys. We all swim next to each other. Even though the whales control the flow and affect the waves, we are swimming right next to them.

GET WET!

2016 is the year of the Sea Monkey and Steemit.

Shit is getting real.
Now is the time to take action.
Now is the time to get wet. Even if you are just a minnow, you are still a Sea Monkey. Right now Steemit is just a pond, but it is about to open up to the ocean, and you must be ready!

So don't stop now!

Every day post something valuable!
Every day encourage someone in the community!
Every day down vote the haters that are trying to bring Steemit down.
Every day be wild like the Sea Monkey you are…

I would have preferred to be called a Water Bear (Tardigrade), but you make a strong case for Sea Monkey as well.

Seriously though, have you heard about Water Bears before? These things are bad ass and will probably out-survive our species.

they are strangely cute...

Sea Monkeys are the best! But one of these days I could do with an upgrade atleast around here. :)

I like your creativity

Thanks!

What kind of Sea Monkey are you?
Whale? Minnow? Jelly fish?
