A tagline can play an important role in the success of a business, organization, or community. While I've seen several examples of fellow Steemians creating mock taglines for Steemit, we do not have a tagline. Because of the structure of Steemit, we are unlikely to ever fully adopt one either. However, generating additional interest in Steemit and growing the network will rely heavily on marketing and branding.
In other words, we need a tagline that new users can understand and something we can be proud to embrace as members of this community.
One of my favorite services that I provide is tagline creation for small businesses and nonprofits. Taglines, also known as mottos, are surprisingly difficult to master, but extremely valuable when done right. Just look at Nike's "Just Do It" or Apple's "Think Different"--both have helped set their brands apart from others and have become something that their users embrace.
While on a recent plane ride, I decided to draft a list of tagline ideas for Steemit. In the comments below, I'd love to get your feedback on which tagline you like best, and offer your best tagline for Steemit.

Just thinking of another tagline "Connecting communities through inspiration" or liking the inspiration theme "Inspire Others".
Some other words that resonates with Steemit for us is "creative" or "creativity", "knowledge" and "be yourself". Something you can play around with. It's great you are contributing to the site :)

Thanks for reading and commenting. I like the inspiration angle a lot. Is it a little sad to think/say that although I love this place and am having a blast, I haven't seen a lot of inspiration or attempts to inspire others (yet). Maybe that's our role to fill.

We see what you mean about lack of inspiration, although the more influential Steemians are to some what inspiring their followers (or maybe the comments are fake?), but the space is there. That's awesome! We were really hoping to see a couple of sea turtles while in Mexico, but we saw lots of other amazing creatures. Inspiration definitely occurs here, it just gets slightly drowned out by the fights, bots, etc. You guys are certainly helping to spread cheer/inspiration and I'm trying to do the same. I think that tagline could be really good for something else (Rocket Fuel for the Soul), but I have a hard time relating social media and networking with the soul. Does that make sense? I do really like that phrase. Thank you!
