I have never been on the Facebook or Twitter, but when I heard about Steemit paying out money for what one writes I immediately caught my chance: "I will become a millionaire, or at least a thousandaire overnight," I thought to myself. Well, unlike Jeff Berwick, I haven´t earned a single (crypto)dollar yet. It calmed me down a little bit: "Now I can write whatever I want, not trying to be a prostitute," I thought to myself again. But if there were no money involved at all, I wouldn´t continue with my writing. One possible explanation is that I am an exhibitionist who doesn´t want to be seen as such, that the money idea gives me an alibi: I am not writing stuff to show myself off, but to earn some money to do good deeds. Ha...
Now I guess I will do some exercise that I haven´t done for a long time. I have been studying Chinese from time immemorial, I read books and write words down in pinyin in my notebook. Then I read the words written down in pinyin and try to guess their original meaning. OK, I won´t become a rich man, but will at least make some progress in my language skills. This Steemit thing is so weird. It makes such an autistic exhibitionist out of me.
OK, I am opening my notebook now:
1)
CHI2WEI2SHENG4YU2BUWEI2
I think I know what this means, better do things late than never
迟为胜于不为
is that so? I am taking out my dictionary: the phrase is not there
and I can´t google it out, but don´t think there is another chi2
1:0 for me (against my amnesia)
2)
Wo buzhi4yu2 qu4 zheng1chao3.
I think this means: I am not going so far as to quarrel over this. or st...
我不至于去争吵。

3) biao1dian3fu2hao4
and now I am lost, fuhao means mark or symbol 符号
but what is biaodian? dian is 点 most probably
标准的标?

4) Women neng jishi gandao nar chi wucan ma?
I understand this, it means Can we get there at time to eat lunch?
我们能及时赶到那吃午餐吗?
