Oh Yeah... That was a clickbait title wasn't it? HaH!

So I was in a little thought process regarding Steem this morning and wondered about "What if?"
The year is 2020, STEEM has hit $5000 and you own some amount of the coin that makes your value over a million, or whatever number you see fit. Enough money that you feel like you can spend it.
What do you do? Do you continue working? Or Do you Retire and do something as a hobby rather than a job? What would you buy? What things that you do would you hire out for someone else to take care of for you?
For me... I wouldn't work. I'd be content being a content creator and curator on Steem as my full time work. Okay, so that's kind of a job, but it is something I would enjoy doing, and could do on my own schedule.
Probably the first thing I would do once my house was paid off and I had enough cash in my account to pay the bills, I would hire someone to do the yard work for me. Second would be hiring someone to come in and clean the house every other week.
It's not that I'm lazy. Well maybe it is. But there are things I enjoy doing, and things that are just plain chores. And those two things are CHORES. I don't draw any enjoyment from them at all. No satisfaction of a job well done, none of it.
I don't know that I would buy anything terribly extravagant. I am good with the car I have, the house I have. I'd travel more. Taking my family to places we've never seen before. I'd get season tickets for the Predators Hockey season. I'd buy my son better hockey gear.
I'd like to think I would be a pretty down to earth millionaire. Being myself, just moreso. haha.
What about you? What would you do if you suddenly found yourself in the money? Comment below and I'll pick a few to share any author rewards from this post out with you.
I think like you I would concentrate on writing and curating because I enjoy it

I always wanted to be a writer. I just never was able to keep the momentum going long enough to make it long enough to be publishable.
It would be nice to be paid for writing short stories and commenting on other people's content.
Let's hope we get the chance @bigdave2250 It's exciting times for sure!!

Hi, that would be pretty awesome!! i just bought 100 steem yesterday and started to use the site yesterday as well. Personally I would likely just go ahead and pay off student debt (over $ 300,000), even though its not the smartest move. It would feel freeing.
A questions I have in response to yours is: do you think its possible? I mean do you think this social platform at the moment is good enough to support that potential? Or do you think this could happen independent of the social platform?
My guess is that this site probably will need to evolve a bit. Its pretty good, but could be more user friendly and intuitive.

Could it? Sure it could, BitCoin did.
But what is more likely is that we early adopters will start to build up our Steem Power and Steem Dollars through creation and curation and build enough following to increase the value of our accounts regardless of the price of the coin. People have already done this.
I understand that it is harder to get a big time post like was possible in the beginning, but just last night I was looking at some blogs where the owner had an account with a estimated value of over $700,000. I'd take that for sure.
I think the social platform is a good start, I mean, we're still in Beta. Once things evolve to the point where it is user friendly enough to be adopted by the masses, we'll be glad we were here first.
Keep on Steeming on, and let's see what the future holds for us.

With the kind of money I'm talking about, you could buy a car shaped like the steem logo @joshvel! And travel is such a great thing. So much to see on this little planet of ours.
Let's get there!!
