Starting off new, it may be hard to know exactly what type of content you should put out. Many people have different types of content and want all of them to be appreciated. However, somethings should be just left to the experts!
Here we have a few pointers on what type of content to post and what to consider in the process.
Be true to yourself and your own knowledge
Writing blogs and long essays on topics you have completely no knowledge on is a joke. This isn’t college, you do not have assigned tasks. Do not think that it is mandatory for newbies to only post about trending topics in order to gain a following.Don’t be offensive !
Eventhough your posts are about what you personally choose to express, it is highly in your own favour that you consider others in your posts, as you are creating material for others to appreciate. Posting content that may be considered racist, feminist or ageist, could not only have you flagged, but ruin your steem it career, so always consider how other may view your content.Visualise the future of your content.
It is key to understand where you are going with all of these posts. Ask yourself whats the point ? This doesn’t mean you must know exactly what your blog will look like in the next two years, but you should have a rough idea of your goals, for example, the amount of followers you would like to have by the end of the year, how interactive you would like to be. How much content you would like to put up. Where this content could be appreciated offline e.g, music- maybe start recording a tape.Have fun!
Similar to my first point, creatives should really relax when posting on steemit, allow their content to grow organically and enjoy the process !
