Staying the course no matter how you feel

Hello fellow Steemians,

As I type this awaiting my delayed flight at London Gatwick for my Easyjet flight to Tel Aviv, I just learned on the plus side that I hit reputation 69 today as well as 10K Steem power and 20K posts. Not bad for only 6 months of activity on the site, and that rate it's a role that pays $24K a year - my forex trading also pays the same, so with my trading and blogging I can easily hit $50K a year without too much bother.

But I won't lie, Steemit is hard work and a struggle at times! People will accuse you of spamming, doing whale downvote protest deletions into blockchain as well as cursing you, trolling you and telling that you look like that Vitalik dude from Ethereum -as well as making you into memes! But forget all that. IGNORE IT. It's all just part of any social media scene these days.

The kindness of strangers

On the plus side, I must admit that Steemit is one of the kindest social media sites I've seen around, and many people on here have come to my aid in both hard and absurd times. I've made some real friends on here that I'd love to meet steemfest2, so please bring it on @ned @andrarchy and Mitchell if your reading this!

The best advice I can give any new minnow is to be consistent on here, ignore the trolls and suck up all the good that this site has to offer. It's a yin/yang relationship that in the end that has more good points than bad ones at the end of the day.

I for one will continue on to be the best Steemit ambassador I can possibly be alongside the great Grantbassador that is our Steemit master @craig-grant - a big hello to Craig and all his wily philosophies!

So, like any annoying flight delay Steemit can feel at times a bit painful, but once you get to your destination your paid back for all that pain in spades I promise you.

Right, let me go check on this wayward flight of mine ... Bye for now ... Steem on! ....
