Finished video, now jealous of kitchen / oven hood. =/

Hope the toxicity around here goes down.

It certainly removes all the bullshit hot air from the house! LOL! :D

Mindhunter,

Thanks for putting yourself out there with a post like this. I think this is one of the greatest threats to western civilization (the degradation of political discourse to racist mob mentality like Antifa) and each of us needs to stand up, potentially to our financial and social detriment, and nip these "equality of outcome" slugs right in the bud.

Actually FB activists made Bernie Sanders a thing. Not to mention the amount of local success in bringing people together for action in their own communities. If you don't see it, you haven't participated wisely or with positive intention. I'm becoming less and less of a FB fan, but there are ways the platform has facilitated some amazing stuff.

The Bernie Sanders "thing?!?!" Actually, what you characterize as "amazing" turned out not to be such a thing, after all. It could have been a huge thing - but it wasn't, in the end. Perhaps he should have been the rightful democratic nominee for president - IDK. It seems like the DNC decided to shoot him down, despite all of this FB "amazingness" you speak of. What's even more amazing, to me, is that if this FB movement was really so amazing - why did they, amazingly, utterly fail to change the results of the most recent election. After all, their results were insufficient to change the world we live in. Sadly, "almost" doesn't quite add up to "amazing" - at least not in my estimation.

He pulled the Democratic Party platform the farthest to the left it's ever been. And it's still a thing that matters. I guess we'll see what happens in local elections. But full agreement from me that the Dems are in a shambles.

Like you say, we must hunt down the minds of others to nip this one in the bud! Kinda liking my @mindhunter username now ... Sargon of Akkad would be proud :) Ha ha!

Its really sad to see this flagwar raging about. Please hung in there @craig-grant. I have been following your blog and you are one of the first people whom i learnt good steemit ethics from. I really feel bad about you been flagged. I think we need to add reasons to all flagging and we should have a flag judge to analyse and decide whether a post deserves to be flagged or not

We've all been flagged on this platform - for most of the time it's nothing personal! Hang tough @tj4real :)

Great video and something that really needed addressed. I've only been here a few months, but have noticed a shift in the amount of "social justice warrior" posts increasing the last month or so. What makes Steemit great is the freedom to express yourself in a decentralized environment. If you don't agree with someone, fine, there's plenty of other users you can find that share your points of view you can associate with, but attacking them through flagging or making aggressive posts regarding their intentions or self-voting practices are all forms of control and the suppression of freedom, which has no place here.

These practices have brought about great concern over the long term growth and future of Steemit. When people start making it their purpose to do what's best for the "community" our platform will suffer greatly. This type of thinking is at the core of the problem with governments around the world and I hope does not infiltrate our opportunity to break free from that here on Steemit. Re-Steemed!

Some very wise words there @orionschariot - lets hope we can keep our decentralized walled garden safe from those types of people!

Great video, yea I agree with everything you said. 🌞💯 you slicked the hair back a little haha. looks good. I like comparison to steemit and matrix😀

I don't want live in a SJW Steematrix I tell you! A few people told me today I look a little different ... I'm not sure if it's the hair or change of subject?!? :)

Resteemed couldn't agree more. SJW's can't see past their hatred for opposing views and use tactics they claim the opposition is doing to them giving their whole causes a self-fulfilling prophecy failure.

They always play the victim card and have no level of self awareness! They are worse than the bots on Steemit - at least the bots got soul Nate!

Very true I just posted a meme about SJW's. It might make you laugh.

Ha ha! It did! I like your Steeming on choo-choo train! :D

Glad you liked. I'm a tiny minnow but I keep steeming on!

It's all a great minnow test all the way up to 60 reputation Nate! Steem on buddy!!

@mindhunter, have you apologized yet for being white?! >>> https://steemit.com/trump/@stellabelle/an-apology-from-the-white-race

SJWs should try living a bit in Venezuela.

Glad you brought it up. https://busy.org/steemit/@eco-alex/final-push-again-davinger-your-assistance-is-needed What do you make of this? I don't personally wish to find myself in such a situation so I don't know what i would do, but at the same time I do wonder what is to be done about situations like this. lemme know your thoughts @mindhunter cheers @ecoknowme

This is extreme SJWing! Flagging must be used in moderation. This is way too excessive!

I agree, but what do you do when someone is stalking you for weeks and flagging every comment and post? I don't wish to be on either end, but I get the impression that this might have also been an extreme case. If someone is on here only to be a nuisance, what can one do to protect oneself from excess bile? Unlike other places, you can't block people yet. This is acceptable in other platforms since it is private, but here, publicly sharing thoughts and lives, there Miiiight be some balance to be found between total unpolicablity to draconian matrix, no?

Well, first of all, this guy davinger´s post were just copy&paste pasta and he put his senseless comments into other people´s discussions. When some people told him and flagged him, he freaked out and went on an all out revenge flagging spree.
Now I would have just ignored him, because I consider any other reaction a waste of time and energy, but eco-alex chose differently and got the cavalry in to help him with this nuisance.
So I hope this guy learned his lesson, but there will be others in the future, so best to just mute them and ignore them.
In general, I am for the removal of the flag, because it´s a policing instrument which can be easily abused by somebody with a certain amount of steempower and then the victim of this abuse has to get someone with more steempower than the abuser to punish him and it goes on and on and is a bit of a kindergarten, and frankly, I came to steemit to support good content creators, not for this childish stuff.

I would not flag for reasons of any differences in views or cencorship. i do however believe in flagging when people are posting total plagerized content and also commenting total lies, abuse and threats ALL over your posts and spam flagging 100s of your posts for no good reason.

Remeber, people who post dozens of plagiarised posts are taking from the rewards pool without adding any real value. They are like parasites who litter comments with either abuse or junk. We do need to protect steemit from becoming a circus of kids who do nothing but disrupt.

The mute button does nothing to stop others seeing 100s of spammy comments or abusive comments and total lies ... so sometimes we have to flag so that he comments or really bad trolls are simply hidden.

Id say we need a block button! We should have the right to stop certain people commenting on our posts at all if we like.. then no need to flag in certain cases.

Im 100% for freedom of expression just to be clear..

Hear Hear! Maybe the flagging can just get replaced with a number of dislikes. The steempower thing really does my head in. On one hand, great to help your mates, but on the other, the high school bully mentality in the opposite direction is a waste of time on here methinks. I just wonder what will happen when like Bitcoin to Ethereum, Fb to Steemit becomes popular in the common mind and people and corporations come here in flocks. Not looking forward to trolls, bots, SJW, snowflakes, fake profiles AND an ocean of clueless real people newbies all filling the Steem Stream with Bile and nonsense. The AI bots are what will just make this weird. Like when you realize I've been a robot this whole time, but the upvotes and banter are worth reading. At what point would we know or stop caring? Frankly anything to remind us of our humanity these days is a win for me. Thanks for your insights.= @likedeeler

Nobody wants to get downvoted by somebody of a different political philosophy - because they disagree over what is or isn't good policy. That doesn't seem the SteemIt way - it seems contrary to the concept of freedom of speech. Of course, "might makes right" is a flawed concept. Using superior amounts of money to destroy and discourage dissent to your own way of thinking is simply admitting that the only solution for your flawed ideas is to resort to ecomonic violence. People who choose to use these kinds of tactics are only broadcasting their own lack of character and morals - they are bankrupt of good ideas, or of being able to effectively communicate why their ideas are superior.

As far as Craig Grant goes... I spoke my peace on him a month ago. I don't like what I see, I said so, and I moved on. Hopefully, my concerns regarding the content of his character are incorrect. Hopefully, he's not involved in a huge scam. Frankly, it matters none to me - because I'm not invested in his BitConnect/high-pressure-salesmanship way of doing things. I have no stake, and I stand to gain or lose absolutely nothing from that situation. For my own reasons, I have chosen to insulate myself from what I see as a high-risk, possibly scammy investment.

If there is something as big as BitConnect going bad in the future, and he's here on SteemIt - I fail to see how it would benefit anybody involved on SteemIt, other than to educate them on what NOT to get involved with. Best case scenario is that my concerns are completely invalidated, and everybody involved in BitConnect makes a buttload of money, and their business model proves itself to be resilient and honest, long into the future. So far, I'm not convinced that it's for me - and I have moved on to other, greener pastures.

I've unfollowed most people in CG's orbit, so I'm not "current" on what's been going on there. Hopefully the players involved over there will all learn to remain positive, classy, and constructive - using SteemIt to learn and enrich their lives, their pocketbooks, and do it in a way that we can all see is beneficial to the world.

the only solution for your flawed ideas is to resort to ecomonic violence.

Whale flagging like this is still one of the sores on the side of Steemit. Alongside spamming it's one of the biggest problems on Steemit!

@mindhunter is a social justice warrior ... kidding :)

I just recorded your Viewly vid for later where I mention ya! Stay tuned!

I should be worried haha

great vid @mindhunter...nice stuff....you looking handsome today...hehe....up & rs

Smartened up for Sunday today @bibek! Thanks for the RS buddy :)

you all always Smart my friend...

Fight those trolls @bibek :)

sure...thank you ... @mindhunter

Something about you is different...can't put my finger on it...
(ahem)
The solution to the problem is to remove the ability to flag and to mute all bots, trolls and SJW's. Perhaps someone should post a list to identify them.

My 'mute' list numbers in the hundreds (if not thousands). If they couldn't flag they would have exactly zero ability to influence me in any way.

Something about you is different...can't put my finger on it...
(ahem)

I bought a new Colin Montgomerie golf shirt :)

THAT must be IT.

The bots are out of control too.
I assume it was a bot that commented on my post the other day.
The post was regarding paedo cover ups in the UK and I got a comment that said "Nice pictures, I like!" What a tool.
Nice post dude.

SJWs and bots - I don't know which one of them is the worst??

SJW's for sure. Bots have a soul! 😂

Ha ha! Nice one Percy - I like that one ;)

Agreed. I feel like if they don't like what someone is doing, or they don't like seeing the success, they should just not support them. I see people trying to take the vigilante approach. But they are just being bullies at that point, so they come off as villains. If you don't like someone, just ignore and don't support them. And move along. Great video once again. Steem on my friend.

Another paragraph I am in full agreement with Sash! Steem on buddy!!

It is like many historical empires rising from a rather wild past, they had to clean up to be respectable and it seems like we have to do the same here at Steemit. And thanks for the tip btw, much appreciated @mindhunter!

Stick to yer guns @almvide - I got your back if not ;)

who care mode activate, I steem on :D

Steems on through everything! Bots, spammers and SJWs! LOL!

been flagged by a priest was something very bad :D it is not about been flagged... it is about the priest I should have sent him some porn magazine, so he will relax :9

The trolls are not so much as a threat as the spammers really

@vangelov - SJWs are rising, but your right - bots and spammers are the real pain in the ass right now!!

With all this censorship going on on FB, youtube, etc., the last thing I want is that the same happens on steemit.
Here we have a free , uncensored space, where we can voice our opinion and engage in lively discussions.
If we don´t like somebody´s view, we can debate, but there should be no other way to sanction, regulate or even punish opinion.
With bad behavior though I am not so sure.
Those senseless trolls, bots and spammers can be annoying.
So from an emotional viewpoint, I also sometimes want to retaliate, call in some benevolent whale to help me with some annoying guy, weep at the shoulders of my peers, but from a rational viewpoint I understand, that those immature people behaving badly, is the price I pay for my own freedom of speech.
In a decentralised, free platform there can be no censorship, censorship always needs some form of authority which leads to abuse.
Now I understand that the combination of a lot of steempower in the hands of certain individuals and the ability to flag, can lead to self-proclaimed guardians of political correctness who try to control content and opinion.
I suppose the creators of steemit, who naturally hold quite some steempower themselves, have created the flag as a kind of emergency brake for them, if things got out of hand, but by doing so, they also created a tool for people to go to war with and create trouble in the first place.
Therefore I think it would be wise to remove the flag.
Then everybody would just ignore and mute stuff and people they don´t like and direct attention and energy to all the wonderful stuff and people waiting to be discovered on steemit.

We've been searching for the silver bullet to flagging since day #1 I think ... the search continues on ....

It should not be too difficult for normal people with high steem power vote the ill-behaving SJW's out of existence. I am quite sure that anyone doing just that would get a lot of upvotes as well.

The problem is some of the high SP holders are SJWs!

Luckily, it's relatively easy to make them look like the virtue-signalling, racist, sexist Marxists they are. Just ask them to justify any of their idiotic views - Alimony, Race Quotas, "White Genocide", etc.

Like the fly I'm chasing in my room right now, they don't last very long Lex ;)

Good info.

Good info! Trolls and SJW's are just a part of the world in which we live. One can either ignore it and move on, or let it own you....

I like to see them more as a yin/yang balance to life to help provide contrast @drjack :D
