How to series: Set up Steemit Profile and add Profile Pictures for Newbies Step by Step Guide

Welcome all new Steemit friends! My goal for this Steemit post is to guide beginners to set up your full profile and start participating to the community with winning style, or for Steemit friends looking into updating your profile as a refresher step-by-step guide. Today I'd like to share my tips and tricks with you on how to:

(1) Add your profile picture in Steemit, as the way to do so differs from the general social media or blogging platforms. It will require additional steps for you to display your profile photo

(2) Setting up and insert your profile information to share with others

(1) Add your profile picture

In order to post your profile picture for the 1st time, or to update it, you will first have to upload the image on the internet. Using your favorite browser ie: Chrome, Firefox...and on a new tab, type in: postimage.org

Locate the "Choose Images" tab, select your desired profile picture from your desktop file storage location.

Click upload. Once your photo has been uploaded, a new page will appear containing your uploaded photo as well as URL links.

Copy the "Direct Link" URL from the address bar selection either by right clicking to copy or to use the copy icon on the right side of the link.

Go back up to the upper right of your Steemit account, click under "Settings" (2nd up from the bottom)

Inside the Settings page, paste your copied "Direct Link" to Profile Picture URL.

Press Update and voila~ Your profile picture should be up and visual shortly after.

(2) Setting up and insert your profile information to share with others

By now you have already set up your Profile picture and you are ready to set up and enter the rest of your profile information. Still within your "Settings" page, you will notice some other columns where you can enter information.

Profile Picture URL: By now you should already have your https:// displayed
Cover Image URL: The procedure of inserting the Cover Image URL is exactly the step-by-step guide for Profile Picture URL. You can scroll up this page and repeat the procedure again.
Display Name: Enter your name, which is what others will recognize you as on Steemit. The way how others will contact you is by typing the following format ie: @miss.kat
About: This is an opportunity for you to provide a synopsis about yourself such as your hobbies, interests, goals, etc.
Location: Enter the name of your city and/or country.
Website: This is an optional area to fill in. If you have a website, please enter and share amongst with other Steemit users.

Here you go, voila my lovely Steemit friends. Your account setup is now completed (Yay)!!!
