Am I the only one who misses the old Steemit before the stupid Hardfork?

Before the recent Hardfork

Steemit was heaven...the rewards were good and a lot of people voted well even if sometimes were Bots but fact is they voted.

Project Curie:

Project @curie is a community project run by several Steemit authors. Our mission is to help reward new content creators who are posting all sorts of original content, and give them the exposure that they need.

My blogs that made it on Project @curie for October 2016

My Arduino fun projects: Designing Quardcopter/Drone from scratch (No cheatboards)- teaser video$32.66231

Even if the rewards were not really that much but at least above $30 and I was still new to Steemit...I was very grateful for the recognition.

I have posted a lot of Arduino programming tutorials and mobile App development blogs.

But to compile such tutorials takes a lot of effort and time.

After the recent Hardfork

I never believed I will complain about Steemit but today I feel discouraged and disappointed.

Posts that I believe deserved more rewards as they were contributing to Steemit.

I had fun querying Steemit database - Is this Steemit first ever post?$11.4350
I had fun querying Steemit database - Ever wondered how they generate Steemit stats/charts$8.0646

I accept quality of my posts also went down...you know why it went down,is because the rewards sucks.

So what is the point of putting more effort like above table if I can simply upload a picture from my phone and post it under photochallage, memechallenge or colorchallange?!

I recently tried to invite more people on Steemit but they looked at the rewards and just laughed at me.

I see a lot of people struggling financially in South Africa and Africa as a whole and was hoping Steemit might be another source of income for some and also learn more about cryptocurrency. Hence I tried to introduce them to Steemit and some have very good talent that can contribute to Steemit.

My upvote gives me about $0.18 even if my Voting power is almost 100%. In the effort to conserve the Voting power to upvote my own posts also affects some of the posts that I like as I cannot vote for them.

Is Steemit going down or reached its lifespan?

My views and opinions:

  • People will conserve their Voting power in order to vote for their own posts;
  • People will rather comment than vote for a post;
  • The new Hardfork only benefits those with more Voting power so basically the new people will not benefit at all;
  • There is an increase in low quality content because people are discourage to put extra effort for very low rewards hence this new photo and color challenges emerging;
  • Steemit has turned into a charity organisation were most rewards will be directed to people posting their personal problems (might as well fake a cancer);

I do understand and do not blame any one for the low quality posts or conserving their voting power...If some people can upvote their posts and get a minimum $200 everyday from just their one upvote, they will rather conserve their Voting power and not vote for others.

I feel like the recent Hardfork was made for the rich/early adopters of Steemit to get richer...

If something is not done soon I see a very big dark hole and its very deep for Steemit.

I agree, at first it seemed like STEEMIT would rule them all, but now? I just hope things get better ..

@tastetwist true and I also believed that:

STEEMIT would rule them all

But lets not loose hope, just for now I am really discouraged that's all

Steemit is still in beta. Things could only get better cause they can't get worse than this.

... hehe... you hope. But we will try to keep our hopes up!

Hence i said:

lets not loose hope

I've been considering faking cancer....
