Does Steemit need a better design?

in steemit •  7 years ago

Im new here, have just been looking around and there are definitely a lot of posts which seem to provide advice and instructions on how to get around, the do's and dont's of steem and more advanced aspects of moneymaking. But at first glance, Steemit does not seem like an easy to use platform. I cant find any search button to look for articles with keywords. There is no filter for language selection. Looking for interesting posts in the "New" section seems worse than going through the "fresh" section of 9gag.
As I said, Im new here and maybe I just dont know how to navigate through all of this yet. Considering I'm a millenial, I'd like to give myself enough credit to be able to figure out how to use apps, even the less-intuitive ones. I hope that if there is something I'm missing, Id find the good samaritans of the Steemit community to help me. If there are things that could and should be changed in the design of Steemit, lets ask for it together!

Steem ON!

Good points. It could definetly use some UI/UX help.

Have you tryed to search by tags?

I did, but couldnt really find what I was looking for. To give you an example: there is no tag for neuroscience (or atleast I couldnt find one).

You can place only 5 tags so there is no space for unique ones like that.

Well, it takes a little time to master any thing. For start i kindly suggest you to read Steemit whitepaper, it will clear your major confusions.
