Strange Things A-Happening round these parts

Well as many of you may or may not know a couple weeks ago a SoftFork with the sou purpose of freezing the funds of individual accounts on the Steem network. This came after most witnesses made public statements on their blog that they would respect the sanctity of private property. Obviously this was mere words to get a witness vote from Steemit Inc. Also I find it ironic that Steemit Inc is supporting the witnesses that are running 22.8888.

So here is what is currently happening. There is more that 3 million dollars worth or steem that is currently frozen in place. Unable to execute any transaction. I am sure that these users are spamming the network in hope of maybe slipping a transaction through. If their transaction lands on in a block being witnessed by a witness who is not running the freeze fork than it will go through. Only thing is that in the very next block the same transaction is canceled by a witness running the freeze fork resulting in the previous witness missing a block.

My witness @BlockBluster is still running 22.5 which does not freeze any accounts. We have missed the 19 blocks and have not witnessed a block in the last 5 day. Crazy thing is that I was looking on SteemPeak and it seems that the only witness who has produced a block in the last 5 days running 22.1 or 22.5 is HashKings. This was also literally in the last hour of writing this.

Witnesses make up what is essentially the foundation of our entire ecosystem. Without them no blocks would be produced hence this place would die. Running a witness is not free. It is not expensive but it is not free. We currently pay around 50 bucks for our server. With 50 bucks I could buy 300+ Steem a month and end up with WAY more Steem than by merely running a witness. It is coming to the point where I can see this place completely destroyed by the actions of the witnesses freezing Steem at the moment. Of course The previous witnesses that froze Steemit Inc's stake were completely in the wrong. But to freeze their stake as some sort of revenge is childish and ridiculous. If these users want to exit the blockchain let them. Now all that is happening is tons of witnesses are just throwing money away every month. I am not rich and will not be doing it for too long I am in no way rich or able to just flush money down the drain on a witness that can't produce blocks.
