The contentious issue of self-upvoting

in steemit •  7 years ago  (edited)

Well who yet hasn't had their say on this? It seems like every three or four days since the implementation of Hardfork 19, I'm seeing a post in my feed expressing one view or another, swinging either in favour of self-upvoting, or definitely opposed to it.

I know I'm only a minnow, and so many may consider my view on the matter insignificant, but since I have little concern for what others think of me, I will express it regardless.

I can understand the view of those opposed to it, and to an extent I agree, especially when a steemian has an upvote value of $10 or more.

But when one of us has an upvote value of $0.02 at best... Does it actually make any difference? I am honestly curious about this, if a Dolphin or a Whale could give me an answer either way, I would honestly appreciate it.

So, I guess I didn't really express much of an view on it, the post morphed into an overly long-winded question.
