Yet Another Milestone Post: 400 Followers and 1M Vests

in steemit •  7 years ago  (edited)

I'm closing in on one full year here on Steemit. One full year coming up in May. It's particularly crazy to look back and consider just how much has happened in such a short period of time; but reflection is always good. It's a great way to establish who you are, and where you are, in addition to establishing where you're heading.

I've never really looked deep into the future, I'm forever finding myself looking into the past, however. I'm finding myself looking back and what has changed for the best and worst, and applying the necessary changes into my personality and life in attempt to shake things up and see what happens as a result of those changes.

Part of joining Steemit was one of those changes. I never took many opportunities, and very rarely would I throw myself out of my comfort zone -- I'm still like that, actually -- but I felt that I loved writing enough to pursue it on this platform, and allow the other users of it to read and critique those posts, rather than continue to go down the boring ladder of freelance writing, something I have mentioned doing in other posts in the past.

While I may only be at 399 followers, (it was 400 last night, so this still counts!), I have just reached 1M Vests and unlocked the Steem Power voting slider, which is a great achievement; and something I have been working towards obtaining for some time. In fact, for a long time, the voting slider and 500 Steem Power was my ultimate goal, I had no idea I'd be this close in such a short amount of time.

I have no idea where I'm heading from here on. I guess it's time to look back at what I have achieved, and failed, to see what's next.

Part of the changes are my interest in photography; it's something I have been blabbering on about to @vincentnijman and the others within the Steemit Movies Community Discord server. I'm contemplating creating a photography account on here so I can share some of my not-so-great pictures with the Canon AE-1 I recently purchased. A separate account given I wouldn't want to diversify the content on this account too much. Understandably, there are many following me that probably just want to see film posts, some maybe even more cryptocurrency ones.

Anyway, I'm beginning to ramble, so I should probably stop here. As always, thanks to each of you for taking the time to either read, comment, resteem, or upvote my posts. It means more to me than you all can comprehend.

Here's the first ever picture I took with my Canon AE-1.

Recalling back the memories are always good to do. It's the right way to analyze what we have done, what we have achieved, the right and the bad thing. This definitely not to drag we down rather than to boost our spirit up by reminding the mistakes we"ve made to learn more and take the learn lessons.
A year is not a short time @namiks. You must have a great adventure on this cool platform. A year full of hard work and dedication.
Congratulations for being at this stage. You deserve it.
Both of us actually have a little same condition, just now I just posted my article about celebrating one month Anniversary on Steemit. I've learned many things here as a new comer.
You can check the writing in this link below sometime, or just simply visit my blog.
Keep motivating us, and will stay tuned for the next post. Thank you.

One Month Anniversary on Steemit. What Did I get?

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

Definitely a lot of dedication. Up until recently, I was posting almost every single day.

There's certainly a lot to learn about yourself due to Steemit; but I believe a large portion of that is from the people you meet on here. Their opinions and posts can really help you discover new ways of thinking and adapting to particular events.

Recollection is often nice, but I find it can be bittersweet. One thing I will always strive for is ensuring that with this platform, I attempt to help others. I believe I can always do more. I will have to do more.

By the way, I love the pictures you've taken!

Exactly! All of articles I wrote definitely based on others that I read, I tried to understand the contents and then I concluded it by my own style. That What I called as an observation.
Ya It's all about learning and helping each other, that's why I said this platform is to build a community and family.
Anyway, big thanks for stopping by on my account.
Cheers from Indonesia ❤️

You have a minor misspelling in the following sentence:

Anyway, I'm begining to ramble, so I should probably stop here.
It should be beginning instead of begining.
