Question: How some posts have more votes then views?

in steemit •  7 years ago

What sorcery is this? I am new here, the example is a meme, that has a lot more votes than views. So, people vote outside post without actually seeing the meme? bots? I should be missing something.

I just noticed this myself with another post. Surprised there isn't a definitive answer on this.

Now that I am more experienced, I know the reasons of this:

People (and bots) voting without even opening the posts at all, just for the reward, etc.

Also, you could open the post in a different platform, like Busy, and as far as I know, the views counter does not change on Steemit.

Friendly backup - may be. No reading only likes. Part of some alliance work.

Indeed.....a gud question
