When I first joined Steemit I did not understand how the upvoting system really works.
I still do not really understand how this system works.
Many friends here, publish posts and directories, how this system works.
A lot of friends also post posts like:
- Sending 0.001 STEEM or 0.001 SBD to each bot with a specific memo
- The randowhale bot will automatically upvote your post with a random voting percentage between 1 – 5%.
- I will send 0.001 SBD to everyone who do ...
- Can someone send to me 0.001 SBD? I want to test something ...
When I joined to STEEMIT, i was glad because there is a place where you could simply share and write anything I want.
Even if on the way I will get money for it really great,
But in my opinion, this is not the goal I want to turn this site, this is not a bank.
This is an excellent platform to connect people from all over the world,
To read what really goes through them in the mind and give space to all of us to be "famous".
It's a shame to see this amazing platform turn into another goal. I hope not.
Just a thought... if not the rewards then what the difference does it make where to write your thoughts. If only expressing yourself is the goal, there are lots of free blogging platforms which can show your content to the world. Some are better organized for visitors who are less obsessed with popularity and more interested in you and what you write.
But yes I agree with you that overly commercializing this platform where votes can be bought and sold is not necessarily a good thing.
