Just letting out a little bit of "steem"

Why is it so difficult to become successful on Steemit!!!

So I have been on Steemit for approximately 6 months and still have absolutely no idea how to get 1. More Steem power and 2. Earn more SBD. I have tried many challenges such as my #50pushupchallenge and #50squatchallenge which I love inspiring others to get fit. I am currently stuck in a hump and I don't know how to get out of it. I think my biggest SBD payout on steemit during my 6 months has been appox: $0.84. I have never really been one to complain or excuse my language "bitch," it just frustrates me when I see post make $ off really lame post. I don't know what I need to do to improve my post. I have tried constantly do increase my SP by minnowbooster which I think I got the highest 0.04 cents. I have tried using bots and found those completely ineffective. I don't have enough SP or SBD to use for other bots. So I find myself in a state of annoyance. I can't seem to win on Steemit at the moment. I am hoping someone out there can guide me to the right places to improve my SP so my upvote means something to all my participant in my challenges. Also, enough SP to keep on posting without the fear of not having any more SP to post.

What are the best bots that are low cost? Is there anywhere I can donate current Steem/SBD that I can receive daily returns?

Please someone out there enlighten me on how to get somewhere on Steemit. I thank you in advance for everyone who has supported or participted in my challenges or anyone who has guided me to meet great people here on steemit.

I would like to thank @steemmatt @thevillan @musclegirlfusion @mightpossibly @bitfiend and many more for their support and countless upvotes. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

I would like to shout out also the following challenges @steematt 100 rep challenge and @runburgundy decentralized fitness group. Support both of these challenges to assist you on your fitness journey.

Dude that's just how it is here, it's tough, but you have to grind. Biggest thing that put me ahead here was starting to make a ton of videos. I think I've posted 35 videos in the last 30 days, which has taken me to the next level. Still, today I put up a project that I filmed over the course of 6 days, and spent 5 days editing, and it only made $0.27. And I know I've made other videos that have done better, but were nowhere near as well produced, but it is what it is. It sucks, but that's the reality. Still, video seems like the way to go, but only of course if you're comfortable in front of the camera. Then, just be energetic, charismatic, and interesting, and you will find more success here. But you have to grind through a lot of weak post rewards even on good work, because with so much content being uploaded, a lot gets missed and passed over.

I use to make lots of workout videos, however I have a chromebook that does not allow for me to make videos formats that transfer to Dtube. I really liked using Dtube when I had uploaded videos in my blogs here on Steemit.

I started this acount with the idea to experience what it means to build an account without any investment along with the fact that it highly helps me with my personal challenge.

I have learned a lot along the way and wrote several posts on my main blog on how to get upvotes on Steemit. (see the latest post which includes all the previous. More are yet to come. Understanding how upvotes really work (The Truth about upvotes on Steemit) and looking at your growth in a relative way compared to you own SP can help.

It can be quie though and you often need some luck and a lot of networking to pick up a little bit of whale support which has become rare because of the entire situation where bigger accounts get the best return from running a bid bot.

Something you can easily do.

Maybe experiment a bit with your posting format. This is the way I go about it and it's working quite good.

  • 1 post each day very structured in a way it mainly helps myself on my personal challenge. It includes everything. (I believe that structured single posts are more likely to attract auto-upvote support from people that use steemvoter or steemauto since it is very predictable and unlikely to kill their voting power.)
  • I took some time to make a basic layout that looks quite clear using some markup and tables. Now it's mainly copy-paste and change / update the post based on that day.
  • I also put a little bit of work in making a nice suitable main thumbnail picture every 10 days. Usually a free picture from pexels or pixbay that I cut to fit the 800x480 resolution. Afterwards I add text using addtext.com. I do this once making 10 images and remove the watermark that is put in the bottom (basic copy paste in ms paint). This all does not really cost that much time once you have it down and makes a big difference since it instantly shows that some time and effort has been put into it.
  • Always link pictures you use to the source material. I only started doing this recently and got my application for @qurator rejected because of it (I have to wait 2 weeks to apply again) Groups like that also provide daily upvotes.
  • be socially active on Steemit, if anything this is the most important. I'm still lacking that aspect myself because I try to make this account time-efficient. I could do way better if I put more time in making genuine comments and make more friends in the health / fitness community.
  • I always use all the SBD I earn on some bid bots 24 hour after having made the post. When they are used properly they can earn you a +10% on the SBD you spend on them (https://steembottracker.com/) which adds up over time and what you earn from getting your comments upvoted also adds to your post earnings this way. it also gives some kind of illusion that your posts earn more (since you only really earn the STEEM and SP that comes from it). It also gives more incentive for people to upvote your posts early because they know more votes will come in later which gives them higher curation rewards.

That's about how I go about it, it is by no means a guarantee to success but should be able to get your post earnings to at least 1$+

Good luck and I hope you hang in there and find ayour way up. You certainly got the right attitude!

(This is an alternate acount from @byebyehamburgers)

I am setting up a support group here on steemit that is designed for people who are on steemit fro the long run and want to get more regular upvotes on their posts. I have put you on the list while testing everything out so you should be getting a couple small extra upvotes from @upvoteshares the next week. (it won't be much but every little bit helps I guess)

Thanks for the suggestions. I will definitely look into these things. I know I have always been one to support people and at first refused to use bidbots etc. But after realizing that I needed help because my upvotes, SP, and SBD was lacking I gave it a shot. Still think its not worth wasting SBD or donating SP because I am yet to see any returns.
But I love this social media platform and I love the people on here.
Thanks for your support and your suggestions.

You have to put yourself in Other people’s shoes like your followers.

Imagine they wake up and open up their Steemit feed.

Is the photo you posted, something they’d want to see in their feed?

Does it inspire them to up vote or perhaps click to see more?

Do I want to see some guy taking a shirtless selfie in his bathroom every day?

Do you want to see that?

Get creative with your photos.

Give your followers a reason to want to follow you.

There are some people I don’t follow because I don’t want to see their hairy chest everyday I open up my feed.

But if they were far more creative, yes I might follow them.

I also used three bots last week and got amazing results but they weren’t cheap.

I’m going to try them out again and see my results.

I’m working to put together a good post before I use them again.
