I started on Steemit a few days ago and I have this feeling of no matter what you write it will be hard to hit a trend because at least for now it just depends on what are Whales writing about.... is it?

I don't think this is even debated. Whales definitely define the tone of the content. I've seen contradictory reports on how the power distribution is shifting, whether whales are growing or shrinking. Will try to dig deeper when I have some free time.

I think everyone is following at least one whale... so it's either what whales are posting or if something happens to catch a whale's eye then as soon as they upvote, all the followers jump in as well.
