Resteeming is the New UpvotesteemCreated with Sketch.

in steemit •  8 years ago

Hundreds of articles are being published on Steemit daily and in all that rush it is easy to miss good content, even with the curators and all.

I noticed that the resteem button is not frequently used by steemians (i am also a culprit), i believe that apart from upvoting good post we should resteem them more often.

Shoutout to @stellabelle, @l0k1 and other Steemians who regularly resteem good content

nice, thanks for sharing

Hi @rahma-diana

i checked your blog and found out that you are an active resteemer ,and i also found some nice pics, keep it up

thanks @ogochukwu

I agree, I suspect though that many people do not understand what resteeming is, or believe there is a cost involved. Also the fact that there is no reward for resteeming means that it is a feature that has not become botified.

very true @coldmonkey

I rarely resteem, although I do share good posts through my Steemit Ramble. The main reason I don't resteem is it bugs me when I look at a person's profile and have scroll through all the resteems to find their actual writing.

I might start using the feature more if the resteem feed was separate from the person's posts.

hi @shadowspub

the purpose of the resteem button is to give good content more views.

So if you see good content resteem it, it encourages people to produce good stuff

I'm well aware of what the 'intent' of the resteem button is. Just because the intent is good, doesn't mean the implementation is. People have been asking for resteems to be in a separate space since it was implemented and I understand exactly why they ask when I visit a profile and can't find the person's posts.

If I see good content I share it in the Steemit Ramble where I can also comment on why I found it to be a good post. Another item lacking in the implementation of resteeem.

Yes that is true. @shadowspub

On twitter you have a space to add your thoughts on your retweets
