Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ava DuVernay, Andy Cohen, Karlie Kloss and Nick Jonas were among those sharing their thoughts on the tragedy on social media.
Hollywood was heartbroken over the news of the tragic Las Vegas shooting on Sunday night, when a gunman unleashed a shower of bullets on an outdoor country music festival below, killing at least 50 people. Occurring while Jason Aldean was performing at the end of the three-day Route 91 Harvest Festival, it was the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history.
"Tonight has been beyond horrific," Aldean wrote on Instagram afterward. "I still dont know what to say but wanted to let everyone know that Me and my Crew are safe. My Thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved tonight. It hurts my heart that this would happen to anyone who was just coming out to enjoy what should have been a fun night. #heartbroken #stopthehate."
Ava DuVernay, Andy Cohen and Lin-Manuel Miranda were among those who took to Twitter to express their heartbreak and commend first responders, with some also calling for stricter gun control laws.
