Steemit hasn't exactly changed my life in IMMENSE ways like some others but I just wanted to share my little story about how Steemit just got me out of 5 years of debt in a few posts...
I find it amazing a simple platform on these here interwebs is so amazing that it can not only change peoples lives forever, to simply be an outlet for others to share opinions all at the same time. I personally love Steemit for quite a few reasons, most of which stems from that same love for crypto currencies and freedom in general.
But I also wanted to share a practical affect on my life all because of Steemit just so people can see how well this stuff is actually working, now while I don't recommend cashing out, if you HAVE to, it's a very useful fund to have. A fund a that replenishes itself the harder you work? Thats the best safety net out there.... who needs a government to lean on when you can go tell your story to the world and the world will help you out??
I've had roughly $5k in debt that has stacked up via interest, closed accounts, missed payments, and a few other reasons that don't need to be on the blockchain forever, that over a long period of time stacked up and became sort of a weight on my mind all the time, but regardless how much I worried about it, I knew I wouldn't be paying it off anytime soon and that the debt collectors would just keep calling. All that changed a little over a week ago when I started really taking Steemit seriously and spending most of my days using and/or reading things on Steemit... next thing you know I've made over $15,000! Nuts I tell you!!
I have been a Bitcoin evangelist for as long as I remember, but I never really made more than 3-4K over the last 5-6 years and life has gotten ever so more expensive since then it seems... atleast there is Steem now! There is hope yet!
Anyways, thanks 100% to Steemit I'm finally debt free. Thanks guys! I couldn't have done it without you and I won't forget it! Much appreciated!
