Steemit has climbed the the Alexa web page rankings impressively fast. At the time of writing, it's placed 1,163 worldwide and 536 in the United States. For a brief moment it was even one of the top 500 webpages in the US.
Let's help Steemit grow
Lately, on Steemit, I've seen an increased focus on how to help the platform grow. While I'm confident that the platform itself has what it takes to outperform its competitors even just by natural growth, I'm exited about all the means that Steemians use to reach the masses.
This brings us to Kahoot
"Kahoot is a game-based learning platform that makes learning awesome." It allows teachers (or anyone, really) to make quizzes where questions are shown on a big screen, and students (or anyone, really) can use their own devices to answer. One of the cool features of Kahoot, is that each player has to choose a username every time they play. These usernames are visible to anyone participating, and just looking at all the usernames people choose, is a lot of fun in itself. Getting a name in front of everyone in a classroom or a whole lecture hall is a great advertising opportunity.
Promoting Steemit using Kahoot
Today, when playing Kahoot in software architecture class, fellow Steemit user
@bartors called himself Steemit and ended up on first place, thus introducing the Steemit name to the whole class. While most people might not take notice, some might ask themselves what Steemit is and google it. Others might subcontiously remember it, increasing their chance of wanting to learn more, when being introduced to it at a later stage.
@bartors is a great Steemit ambassador. Be like @bartors.
If I was still attending school I would totally be doing this haha we always made up all sorts of funny names to try to get up on the board.
