WHY I CHOSE TO INVITE JOEL SALATIN, JACK SPIRKO, & DIEGO FOOTER TO JOIN STEEMIT

If you've ever heard of Polyface Farms, The Survival Podcast, or Permaculture Voices, then you probably already understand.

THE MORE A COMMUNITY HAS TO OFFER, THE MORE VALUABLE IT IS, AND THE MORE LIKELY IT IS TO APPEAL TO OTHERS.

I have already seen the appeal of what steemit has to offer. I’m not only taking about people being more excited about it because of the potential earnings that they could make, which certainly plays a part and is causing many former Facebook and Reddit participants to even leave those sites for good. I’m also talking about the adventure of sharing life with one another and learning from others along the way.

This is part of what caused me to invite the men that I did today.

I’ve seen how many people enjoy what my family and I are up to. We are switching gears from city life into a self-sufficient lifestyle where we live, learn, and work together as a family to provide for our needs. However, I don’t bring that much experience to the table. I’m still new at this, but I am doing it.

Then I thought about how much more we could all be learning and be encouraged by those who have already gone on before us into a lifestyle and way of living that few people ever choose these days, though it is becoming more popular.

Though I have no formal relationship with any of these men, I am aware of some of the things that they are up to. I honestly don’t have a lot of time to listen to podcasts or read online articles or watch Youtube videos, but I have been exposed to some of what they are up to, and have definitely been encouraged by what I have heard and seen. I thought if so many people enjoy hearing what I have to say, how much more would like hearing about what these men are up to?

For those of you who are not aware of these men or their projects, here is some brief background information on each of them.

JOEL SALATIN - POLYFACE FARMS

Mr. Joel Salatin is a writer, conference speaker, and most importantly an alternative farmer. His farm in Virginia is called Polyface Farms, and it is now in it's third generation. His natural, innovative, and chemical-free approach to farming has made him an expert in the industry and a role model for many new farmers. Since they are kind of "old-school", my email might not be answered, so I'll be sending out an actual letter shortly.

JACK SPIRKO - THE SURVIVAL PODCAST

Mr. Jack Spirko is a speaker who's most wellknown for his Survival Podcast. Also an innovative farmer at Nine Mile Farm in Texas, he's hard at work living his version of freedom. He has provided much advice and wisdom through his podcast and Youtube videos, and would be another great addition to all of the experienced experts in different areas currently joining the steemit community.

DIEGO FOOTER - PERMACULTURE VOICES

Mr. D-I-E-G-O Footer is the man behind Permaculture Voices, and an innovative conference organizer and podcaster. His insight into the world of permaculture and encouragement in alternative agriculture has been an inspiration to many.

Whether or not any of these experienced and talented men will ever join steemit is up to them, but I wanted to do my part and invite them to be a part of it. Intelligent and experienced individuals definitely can bring a lot to the the table, and I believe that these men would be invaluable resources within the steemit community.

Only time will tell.
Thanks, @papa-pepper
