Today I witnessed a crime.
I feel disgusted by the people, who do any kind of crime, but six 15-20 year olds beating up one person is just sick. The man got beat up badly, his face had heavy bruises. We have a problem in Lithuania. People don't even have a possibility to counteract a physical crime, if they're not strong or have a weapon.
As a society, we are not informed about gun safety or weapon use for protection. Don't get me wrong. I'm not hands down for guns being legal. But in some cases, such as this one, I see a need to have one or for other person to have one.
Only 40 percent of the crimes are solved in Lithuania
A second problem is with the police. I really doubt that this elderly man will get any help from the police. It wouldn't be a surprise, if they brushed it off and wouldn't do any investigation.
What I concluded is that in the near future me and my relatives are going to go through a self-defense course to be ready for such incidents.
As always, have a great day, but be safe!
