Steemit Witness Declaration by @valorforfreedom

in steemit •  7 years ago

I've been reading posts by @valorforfreedom since I started here on Steemit. I think I found about this entertaining guy from @hopehuggs.

Steem School

He runs steemschool.net and posts each day here on Steemit about his life journey and Steemit journey of moving up the fish ladder.

Some days in his videos he interviews someone, some days he vents, and most all days he teaches about using Steemit effectively.

Steemit Witness

Recently @valorforfreedom declared his intent to become a Steemit witness. Since I am still so new and learning about all of this, I'll borrow his words to explain what a witness does:

"This is what Steemit witnesses do: They process blockchain data blocks on their servers and ensure their integrity. The blocks that are processed on their servers contain important data for posts and transactions that Steemit & other sites can interact with. They also add additional security to the network and establish changes to Steem, for example, things like setting the SBD interest rates, account creation fees and setting price feeds."
