3. Daily accounts transacting

A 'transacting account' is a Steem account that made at least one transaction on the Steem blockchain. This can be a vote, post, comment, transfer, power up or sbd conversion. Users who only read from the Steem blockchain without interacting are not included. The actual number of 'Active users' is therefore much higher than the accounts transacting.

Great Number of new Accounts yesterday!!

The markets today makes me sad :(

Has anything happened to the rewards system? Not seeing any rewards to claim for a long time now

Maybe none voted..

I have Resteem this post....

Congratz, your post has been resteemed and, who knows, will maybe appear in the next edition of the #dailyspotlights (Click on my face if you want to know more about me...)

I would love to know who @cdec84 is and why this account received 350k steem :P

That account was created by @freakyfractal, which also created @brixtongg and a few accounts that appear to be made for GSR Consulting. My guess would be that these are accounts created by someone at STINC, but we can only speculate on the transfers made and who the recipients actually are.

It should be noted that this has occurred a few times in the past, so it isn’t unprecedented. Whether these transfers ever result in a consequent increase in value for the Steem blockchain and its tokens remains to be seen. We can only hope that actual networking is taking place and that it may result in something fruitful.

Oh I see! That makes sense then.. Thanks for letting me know!

How do you mean 'appear to be made' ?

@penguinpablo 7359 new accounts? Seems pretty suspicious to me. Especially in such a dark crypto period. Normally it's 300-400 accounts daily. I think 3 scenarios might be unfolding:

  1. A malicious actor found a way to make new accounts in bulk
  2. A big HODLer, or group, is trying to get STEEM prices up again
  3. We passed the threshold and entered the explosive growth phase

Fingers crossed for 3, certainly a highlight... But I put it as third most likely. Other explanations are possible too. @ats-davids do most of these accounts come via STINC? The whole things seems a bit fishy. Can someone track these accounts?
