I've had a few glitches but it's getting better...what concerns me is the number of daily users seems to be stuck under 30k ...when we are having 5k a week or more signing up and 400k total.... Daily users numbers need to go up!!!!

Things seem a bit "bumpy" as of late... the site is rather slow and buggy for almost a week now, can't be much of a good impression on newcomers...

Indeed... I hope fixing this has a high priority right now.
It would also be helpful if we had more alternatives next to busy.org. We would then be less dependent on steemit.com.

The potential for Steemit is still incredibly high, the things is still in beta and under development, hard forks are still planned and Steemit would like to see 100% consensus from the witnesses for those, in this field (blockchain based incentivized social media) Steem is still the leading platform, so yeah, the user experience is not yet on par with 'non-techie regular social media users'.

We will get there though. And probably faster and better than any other platform.

That's what I thought, too. I fear of imagining, how many people might have turned away due to the late events.

Here's something I was just wondering, when SMT are launched will/do you intend to illustrate blockchain-related activity for them in a dedicated way? I suppose this is already occurring do to other application like Busy.org

Would be interested to hear about any feedback. Thanks for putting these reports together.

When SMT are launched will/do you intend to illustrate blockchain-related activity for them in a dedicated way?

Great idea! :)
Once we have a couple of large SMT projects running it can certainly be interesting to post dedicated stats about those projects.

Hi @penguinpablo, The number of posts creating during this past one week has gone down because of that DDOS attack. The speed is still very slow and now it seems a routine matter. They have created the alternate solutions but stats are show the true picture. This is bad for Steemit platform and obviously for all the users:

I've been saving everything before hitting "post" and that has helped. Sometimes it's 3-5 times of trying before I can get a comment to post. I'm sure many people give up earlier.

@fitinfun I do the same thing. It is frustrating when you type everything and try to submit only for it to disappear.

I've been unlucky to lose lots of valuable thoughts that were in words form because there is no autosave feature in Steemit. There are already so many distractions at the platform and going down over and over again being the BIGGEST one. Today, I tried posting through busy.org and outcome is not very satisfactory because there was no preview available the way it is at Steemit. BBChain is paid alternative in the sense that it charges 15% of the earnings that the post makes and Esteem is only for mobile users. I did a post on it while paying tribute to DDOS attacks in my own way. Take a look @penguinpablo as you're mentioned in it.

How do you save everything @fitnfun? Do you do it manually?

I have a few ways. I'm working on a laptop.

I write in LibreOffice docs and before I hit enter - I copy the whole thing into the doc below the text I wrote. This way I have all the pics and the links to them if I want to re-use later. I was not the best at this in the past, but do it for sure now.

And -
Before I hit "enter" on a post, I duplicate the tab and that gives me an exact copy in case my post does not go through.

For comments, I select all and copy the text before hitting enter. I know in a few seconds if it's not going to go through and can reload, paste and try again.

Your comment tells me I will wait longer until trying these new services if I even do. I'm very hesitant to go off this platform and learn something new. This whole issue makes it hard for me to invite the content creators I know. I want to - but I'm afraid to lose friends!

Hello @penguinpablo, sorry for posting this here as I don't know how to contact you.

I'm not sure if this was raised to you already but I think the Steem Upvote calculator is still using the steemd.steemit.com node as default. Would it be possible to use the node selected and saved in the steemnow.com index page?

The Upvote Calculator currently shows this:

Thank you for your comment.

I've changed the node and now it is working properly again.

Thanks!
